How this is calculated
How it works: Your current savings are grown as a lumpsum to the goal date and subtracted from the target. We then invert the SIP formula to find the monthly investment needed to fund the remaining gap.
For a goal more than a few years away, inflate the target to its future cost before entering it here.
Returns are indicative and not guaranteed. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the SIP needed for a goal?
We invert the SIP formula: given a target future value, an expected return and a time horizon, we solve for the monthly investment P. Any existing savings are grown as a lumpsum and subtracted from the target first, lowering the SIP you need.
Should I adjust my goal for inflation?
Yes — a goal that costs ₹20 lakh today may cost much more in 10–15 years. Inflate your target to its future value before sizing the SIP, so you do not fall short in real terms.
What if I can't invest the required amount?
Extend the horizon, increase the assumed return by taking more equity exposure (with higher risk), or use a step-up SIP that grows with your income. Even a smaller SIP started now beats waiting.
